Quality Controlled Biochemicals has over 10 years of experience as a full-service supplier of Custom Peptides and Custom Antibodies to scientists in both academia and the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Our custom, hands-on approach has allowed us to work with researchers on peptide libraries and on the lipidation of peptides for use in vaccines and as drug delivery systems in intact cells. Our peptides and phosphopeptides are used as reagents for analyzing protein kinase and phosphatase activity as well as for the production of antibodies and phosphorylation site-specific antibodies (PSSA). We have also worked with researchers on other peptide modifications including biotinylations, colorimetric/fluorometric probes, sugars and FRET probes.

Our extensive experience in peptide chemistry has enabled us to develop a unique multiple antigen peptide core (MAP) that is used as a carrier for the delivery of peptides into intact cells, for antibody production and for the screening of multiple epitopes for vaccine therapy. Our proprietary MAP core has also shown to be successful in producing antibodies to very hydrophobic peptide sequences and to sequences containing internal cysteine residues. The MAP core also can be customized to meet the unique needs of researchers. The C-terminus of the MAP core can contain the tetanus toxoid fragment (830-844) or cell penetrating peptide sequences. The dual or tetrameric branches of the MAP core can be synthesized with the same sequences or be synthesized with multiple sequences such as two different CTL epitopes.

QCB has produced over 6,000 customized polyclonal antibodies. Our success in producing high titer anti-peptide antibodies is achieved by utilizing our expertise in peptide synthesis and purification, immunogen design, carrier selection and anti-peptide antibody purification. Also, several Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte (CTL) epitopes of tumor-associated antigens are available for use as targets for immunotherapy (gp100, MAGE, TRAGE-3, NY-ESO-1). We have a variety of antibody protocols, including our new Multiple Epitope Immunization Package, available to meet your research needs. Additional antibody services such as biotinylation of antibodies, Protein A or G purification, ELISA assays, preparation of anti-peptide affinity columns and antibody affinity purification of customer supplied serum are available upon request.
