| A Variety of Customized Antibody Packages to Meet Your Research Needs | | QCB offers a variety of customized antibody packages in order to enhance the successful production of both polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. For very antigenic and hydrophilic sequences we offer our standard and premium packages where peptide sequences up to 18 amino acids are conjugated to KLH, BSA or OVA. For hydrophobic sequences or sequences containing internal cysteine residues we suggest MAP technology. We also offer protocols specific for instances when the sequences are short (4-6 amino acids), not very antigenic, when multiple epitopes are needed for immunization, or when an antibody is needed to differentiate between closely related antigens or proteins. These specific protocols use a combination of peptide synthesis, T-cell epitopes, MAP technology and anti-peptide antibody affinity purification.
MAP technology offers the advantage of conjugating multiple epitopes to the MAP core. The C-terminus of the MAP core can be synthesized with various T-cell helper peptides such as tetanus toxoid helper peptide(QYIKANSKFIGITEL, 830-844).

- Using our proprietary multiple antigen peptide technology (MAP), we have eliminated the peptide purification and carrier conjugation steps. The peptide is synthesized onto a unique lysine core that results in a higher peptide to core ratio. If you are not sure of the antigenic site of your protein or just looking for a faster way to generate results, this low-cost approach to immunization allows for the screening of multiple antigens to identify immunogenic sequences.
Basic Protocol - Customer supplied: Generation of custom antibodies against customer supplied peptide/ protein. Antigen can be supplied in many forms. Conjugation to carriers is also available.
Standard Protocol - Peptide synthesis >70%, immunization & 4 boosts, 180-200 ml serum, 2 rabbits
Premium Protocol - Generation of custom antibodies against a specific peptide sequence. This 77 day protocol results in 180 ml to 200 ml of serum supplied to the customer.
Premium Affinity Protocol - Specific selection of antibody against the injected conjugated peptide by anti-peptide affinity purification. This protocol results in approximately 4-6 mg of highly specific purified custom antibody.
Phospho-Site Specific Affinity Protocol - Designed for generating phosphospecific antibodies to mono, dual or tri-phospho peptides. Phospho antibodies selected by anti-peptide affinity purification.
Cleavage-Site Specific Affinity Protocol- Designed for generating antibodies to cleavage sites of proteins. Antibodies selected by anti-peptide affinity purification.
Multi-Epitope Immunization Package - QCB has been offering Multiple Antibody Affinity Protocols (Multi-Epitope Immunization) for several years. We believe that this is the most cost-effective package for optimizing antibody production to a specific protein or for generating antibodies to be used in a sandwich assay. There are now reports suggesting that Multi-Epitope Immunization may have value in vaccine therapy. Several studies indicate that combination vaccine treatment with antibodies made in the same animal may be more effective than using a single antibody vaccine. Thus, if you are working with a tumor associated antigen and looking for a novel vaccine strategy, Multi-Epitope Immunization may be a very cost-effective approach worth exploring. Multi-Epitope Vaccine Screening Package - Studies have shown that Multi-Epitope Vaccine Strategies are sometimes more successful against certain cancers and infectious diseases than single epitope vaccines (CTL Epitopes of Tumor-Associated Antigens). Antibodies raised against multi-epitope peptides may recognize a larger population of cell surface antigens and therefore be more effective in overcoming problems that arise due to either mutations or down-regulation of cell surface antigenic epitopes. Multi-epitope vaccines have been employed in the study of both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses. The ability of such vaccines to elicit a broader B-cell response and simultaneously prime cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTL) enables them to be more effective than single epitope vaccination strategies.
- QCB now offers a Multi-Epitope Vaccine Screening Package for multi-B-cell optimization. The number of peptides used is dependent on the length of each sequence. Usually 6-8 epitopes are used. The peptides are synthesized directly onto our proprietary MAP core eliminating the need for a protein carrier. This synthesis allows for the incorporation of very hydrophobic sequences and sequences with internal cysteine residues, both of which are problematic when conjugating to carrier proteins. MAP technology also allows for the controlled delivery of all epitopes for immunization. This screening package can be customized to meet individual customer needs.
